Wait List Policy

This is so that players can get the playing time and the experience that they are paying for.
The number one concern from the 2009 season was the number of kids per team.
We listened to the many concerns of parents. We could have 30 kids per team and the players and parents would not be happy with the outcome. Too many players
is to hard for the coaches and players alike. Please understand that we are doing this to maintain the quality of each team.

2011 Registration Check List:
You will need to bring the following items with you to Equipment Hand Out. You must provide these items before your child will be cleared to play.

Players Birth Certificate (Please provide copy)
WYFL Play Up Rule
Any player that wishes to play up to an older team is required to submit a "Play Up Request Form" to the WYFL for approval. Players will not be allowed to play up to an older team without the WYFL board approved application. Subject to team availability and bound by the UCFC Rules
WYFL Try Out Policy
All players 5th-8th grade must attend tryouts. If a registered player fails to attend they will be placed on a waiting list. The wait list players will then be placed on a team by the WYFL Executive Committee. If they elect to not play on their assigned team, or there is not an available space on a team a refund will be issued to said player. Tryouts will be led by the A-Team coach. The "A" team coach will have a list of all players. The "A" team coach will certify that each player is in attendance under the direction of a Westlake Board Member. The selection process will then begin with each player being given a number. The"A" team coach will select his team.
WYFL Refund Policy
Player registration fees will only be refunded if the following criteria are met:
The refund request must be on WYFL Refund Request Form to be considered.
1. The player is ill or injured.
Documentation from the attending physician must be submitted for the refund to be processed.
2. The player moved outside of the Westlake district and can no longer play on the league for which he/she registered.
Proof of the new address must be submitted for the refund to be processed (utility bill, property tax bill, etc.)
3. Player wishes to no longer play prior to try-outs, or practice beginning.

Registration for the 2011 is now closed. Thank you to everyone who signed up to play this year. We are certain that this will be a great year for Westlake Youth Football and more importantly, for you child.
If you signed up during the time that we re-opened registration and did not have some of your paperwork at equipment handouts, please make sure that you bring your paperwork with you on Tuesday.
